Notes: Vega is a 6 year old, male, 70 pound, brindle and white Boxer. He is an extremely loving, smart and adventurous boy, who enjoys playing, running, and exploring. He is also very smart and eager to please, especially if you have some treats for me. Vega is neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative, so is ready to go whenever you are. He has a ton of drive which makes him super fun to work with and his foster mom says he would be amazing at dog sports of any kind. His foster mom can explain more but he needs a firm owner who will work him and take him on adventures because he is no couch potato. Vega is dog selective needing slow intros to other dogs. He should not be around cats or other small animals because of his high prey drive. Vega does well with kids but is best with older kids because of his size and energy. He can be crate reactive and has some barrier frustration, but he has been learning to improve his behavior and is doing so much better. He will also need more work on leash training, as he pulls hard. Devices like gentle leaders may help him learn how to walk better on leash. He is being fostered in Hampton Roads, VA but can be transported out of state.
